With all the weddings, bridal shows, meetings, albums, and oh – more weddings!, I have been really neglecting my blog posts. So now that it is early spring, lets think of warmer weather and start out with a summer wedding held at the Country Club of York.

Tom and Cara had to do a lot of the planning through Cara’s mom since they live out of state. She did a great job pulling all of it together and the day went off perfectly. The day started way before the hair and makeup with a muddy run together early in the morning. After that, the day progressed quickly through a touching ceremony to the reception with live band and lots of dancing!

Austin + Kali | Preview

The February weather didn’t really cooperate with us for the day, but Austin and Kali found a way to warm up the day!

Dan + Tara | Hershey Gardens Wedding

Dan and Tara chose to have their wedding at the Hershey Gardens overlooking Hersheypark where they were first brought together. It didn’t take long for me to feel like I was a part of their families especially since they had me at their rehearsal and dinner as well. This was one of the hottest days of the summer but they put that aside and enjoyed the day from beginning to end. The groomsmen were especially fond of the dance to accompany Carly Rae Jepson’s “Call Me Maybe” and made sure that it was played not once or even twice but three times at the reception!

Jordy + Alex | Philadelphia Engagement

Wow, the summer is almost over and I still have so many great sessions and weddings to blog! Here is a recent trip I made down to the city of brotherly love for an engagement with Jordy and Alex. They toughed out the unbearable heat/humidity and made it look easy as they had fun around Fairmount Park and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. They had a hard time with the serious pictures since they are constantly laughing and joking around with each other. Looking forward to their wedding this fall!

Jonah + Deanna | Heritage Hills Wedding

Jonah and Deanna’s wedding at the Heritage Hills Golf Club started quite early at Steel Salon since it was a lunch reception, but that didn’t stop the great atmosphere of love and celebration. Jonah showed his emotions as Deanna arrived on a horse-drawn carriage to the outdoor ceremony. The party that followed was full of great dancing and fun. We finished up some portraits following the reception and then had some fun shooting with Deanna’s gown in the 2 story suite before the after-party kicked off.

Ashley + Rodney | Hershey Engagement

We started at the beautiful Hershey Gardens where Ashley, Rodney, and I walked around and shot till we were ushered out by a guard. Since the light was perfect and Ashley and Rodney were up for it, I took them up to the Hotel Hershey to take a few more shots before the sun set.

I was recently featured in the summer issue of Weddings Year Round Magazine for a shoot at White Chimneys in Gap. Situated on a historical property surrounded by Lancaster farmland, White Chimneys has a beautiful outdoor location for weddings. The reception area is inside a refinished barn that can be used to create any kind of look from elegant to country. Look for my photos that will soon be hanging in the bride’s preparation cottage!

Kaitlyn | Senior

A Sunny afternoon, a fun location, and laughter. What could be better? Kaitlyn’s favorite part was when her Mom was attacked by a small bird (not really attacked, but just approached). Her reaction was priceless!

Congratulations on all the effort you have put in the last 12 years. Good luck as you move on to college life Kaitlyn!
